The first thing to notice is the outline: almost square, with rounded corners and broad facets gathered around a small open culet. This 3.01 carat old-mine cushion has a compact, balanced face. The individual central facets are easy to follow in the face-up view.
G colour and VS2 clarity accompany an 8.24 by 8.05 millimetre face. Its 51% table leaves a generous border of crown facets visible from above. A simple four-claw setting would keep that soft square outline in view. GIA records no fluorescence.
